Animist Records Archive
Animist Records has build an extensive collection of artefacts related to Southeast Asia and animistic tribes over the years. This archive can be accessed by artists and institutions upon request, and certain items can be lend for artistic or scientific purposes.
The archive includes many music instruments, vinyl records, cassette tapes, CD's, VCD's, DVD's, scores, books, magazines and art and craft works. From most items in our webshop we have a copy in our own archive.
We aim to publish a list of all items in the archive here in the near future. In the meantime have a look around the webshop for examples of what can be found in our collection. Most music media include audio examples. Feel free to send us an email in case you would like to use an artefact for an art and/or science project. Lending fees depend on the particular artefact and lending period, and estimates of these fees can be provided on request.
