Luxury pressing of Chinese traditional music performed by Xu Jiangde.
Xu Jiangde (许讲德), born on October 1938 in Beijing), is a Chinese erhu player. She was brought up in an atmosphere of art. In 1950 she joined the army performing troupe for apprenticeship. 1953 was the year she started her performing practice with the erhu fiddle. Five years later she became a soloist. Such erhu classics as March of Brightness and The Moon Reflected on the Second Spring revealed her gift in music. 1961 and 1964 witnessed her nation-wide awards with 'Harmony between Soldiers and Civilians' and 'Ode to Jin-zhu-ma-mi' and her coming to the fore as a female soloist rarely seen in China at the time. Over scores of years' artistic career the solo repertoires she premiered were more than ten. Thereby her own artistic style was formed: sincere and simple in feelings, pure and mellow in tone, with strong song-like quality. She was hailed both at home and abroad. She dedicated years of teaching to the Central Conservatory, the China Conservatory and the Social Conservatory as well as music academies and music departments outside Beijing.
