Original Thai pressing of two famous '80's molam (Northeast Thai folkmusic) songs.
Both songs are sung by Kraisorn Ruangsri (ไกรสร เรืองศรี), a famous Isan (Northeast Thai) singer.
Side A contains the song 'Lam Plern Hen Thong Nong Phen', which translates as 'Lam Plern (a style/composition-form of molam) about my younger sibling who ran away upon seeing gold'.
On Side B we find a cute and funny molam lovesong called 'Lam Dern Khon Kaen Faen Ubon'. The style of singing here is called 'lam dern'. The lyrics are about a guy from Khon Kaen province who has a girlfriend from a different province in Isan, Ubon Ratchatani.
Both songs are good examples of the '80's sound of Isan music, where more electronic and Western sounds are introduced, like the saxophone.
They are composed by Arom Phumphak, Kamkhaeng Thongchan and Sompis Pornpracha, and produced by Num Phuthai (หนุ่ม ภูไท).
