Classic '70's molam 7" from Isan (Northeast Thailand) on 45 RPM by famous singer Sonthaya Kalasin (สนธยา กาฬสินธุ์), and lyrics written by Surin Phaksiri.
'Sonthaya Lam Plern' (สนธยาลำเพลิน) on Side B is an excellent example of the popular 'lam plern' style, and features a great bassline, kaen (Lao mouthorgan) and psychedelic phin (the amplified traditional lute) playing.
Side A contains another lam plern song by Sonthaya Kalasin, but is in poor condition. Although this side is possibly still useful for samples, this 7" is offered 'as is' and because of the VG condition of Side B a great piece of molam history to have on vinyl and play out.
